West Haven

West Haven is a city of about 10.9 square miles in New Haven County, Connecticut, settled in 1648 and incorporated as a city in 1961. It has about 3.5 miles of publicly accessible Long Island Sound beaches, including the Savin Rock waterfront, and is home to the University of New Haven. The city is served by I-95, US Route 1 and West Haven station on the Metro-North New Haven Line.
