Estimate your monthly mortgage payment, including the principal and interest, property taxes, and HOA. Adjust the values to generate a more accurate rate.
Use the calculator above to estimate a monthly payment on a home in Fairfield County or New Haven County. A few Connecticut-specific points help make the estimate more realistic.
Each Connecticut town sets its own mill rate. One mill equals $1 of tax for every $1,000 of assessed value, and Connecticut towns assess property at 70% of fair market value. Two similarly priced homes in neighboring towns can carry very different tax bills, so enter the actual annual tax for the home you are considering. Each town page links to that town’s official website.
The payment shown covers principal and interest, property taxes and HOA dues. Homeowners insurance, private mortgage insurance on loans with less than 20% down, and flood insurance where required are not included.
The Connecticut Housing Finance Authority (CHFA) offers mortgage and down payment assistance programs for eligible buyers.
